ABC Family Names New Programming & Development VP

BURBANK: Marci Cooperstein has been elevated to VP of programming and development at ABC Family.

In her new role, Cooperstein will be charged with finding and developing new original drama and comedy series. She will also oversee existing one-hour dramas, including Twisted. She will work under Kate Juergens, the company’s executive VP of original programming and development.

Cooperstein previously served as ABC Family’s executive director of programming and development. While holding that position she contributed to the development of such titles as The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Baby Daddy, Switched at Birth and Dancing Fools.
