Syfy Makes Renewals, Slates Projects from Bryan Fuller, Robert Zemeckis

NEW YORK: Syfy has announced production on a pilot from Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daisies) as well as a project from producer/director Robert Zemeckis, among other programming highlights.

The network ordered a 13-episode fourth season of the hit drama Being Human, which stars Sam Witwer, Meaghan Rath, Sam Huntington and Kristen Hager. There is a second season coming for Ghost Mine, which investigates paranormal activity.

A pilot of High Moon, an adaptation of John Christopher’s best-selling novel The Lotus Cave, is in production for the network. Fuller (Hannibal, Pushing Daisies) and Jim Danger Gray (Pushing Daisies, Hannibal) are working on the series, with Universal Cable Production serving as the studio. High Moon will explore what happens when the countries on Earth establish colonies to mine the moon’s resources and discover a new form of life.

Syfy is joining creative forces with Fox Television Studios on No Place. Robert Zemeckis, producers Jack Rapke and Jackie Levine and the writing team John Brancato and Michael Ferris are attached to the project. In No Place, the residents of a high-tech gated community suddenly find themselves cut off from the rest of the world. Only one man has contact with the powers responsible for what becomes known as "the rift."
