MarVista Entertainment Scores Sales for Telefilms

LOS ANGELES: NBCUniversal channels, M-Net and New Select have licensed several TV movies, including romantic comedies, thrillers and teen dramas, from MarVista Entertainment.

NBCUniversal picked up the rights for the romantic comedy Today’s Special and teen thriller Circle of Lies for its programming service in the U.K. The company also acquired Oh Christmas Tree, a holiday TV movie, for a number of territories.

South Africa’s M-Net opted for Pop Star, a teen drama; Language of a Broken Heart, a romantic comedy; and Love for Christmas, a holiday film. The network also purchased Today’s Special, Circle of Lies and Oh Christmas Tree.

Additionally, New Select in Japan went for the action-disaster movie Collision Course.
