GroupM Sets Up Consulting Division

NEW YORK: GroupM Consulting Services has been established to help clients maximize the effectiveness of their marketing, with Ernie Simon set to lead the new division.

Simon was most recently the chief strategy officer at OMD. He also spent ten years at GroupM agency Mindshare. Simon will now serve as president of the new division, leading a team of analysts and consultants. The group will be working with its clients to leverage capabilities and resources from across GroupM and its holding company WPP. The consulting division will provide marketing and media analytics, portfolio management, marketing budget allocation and optimization, business forecasting and a host of other services.
