SAN FRANCISCO: AFL Productions has secured the global distribution rights to the complete libraries of Russia’s Home Channel and Peretz TV.

The library for Home Channel consists of factual programming—including cooking and travel shows—aimed at women between the ages of 25 and 59. Peretz TV’s catalogue contains content such as home video clips shows and is geared toward 25- to 49-year-old men.

AFL Productions is developing new media and digital platforms for viewers to access the libraries.

"We are very pleased to be able to present the catalogues of these two great Russian TV channels to international broadcasters at MIPCOM," says Yuri Volodarsky, the head of development and distribution for AFL. "Their parent company, CTC-Media has done a fantastic job of exporting their content to territories like Ukraine in the past. Considering the catalogues’ successes there, we at AFL can’t wait for MIPCOM to give these outstanding libraries a truly worldwide audience."

"Stations across the globe can benefit from the proven material in these two libraries," remarked Scott Hanock, AFL’s VP and international sales manager. "Individually, they’re both great. Together, they literally have something for everyone."

Volodarsky added: "AFL has a long and successful history of supplying series to Eastern European and former CIS territories, as well as Asian, European and South American markets and were excited to get this excellent material out to audiences across the globe."

Hanock added: "Both of these channels have grown rapidly for a reason and we feel that their programming will find a very receptive international audience, allowing local broadcasters as well as cable and satellite channels to acquire affordable and successful programming. Lots of it!"
