New SVP in Place for NBCU Cable & New Media Distribution

NEW YORK: Todd Whiting has been named senior VP of NBCUniversal Cable & New Media Distribution, upped from his VP role.

Whiting will continue to work closely with Frances Manfredi, the president of NBCUniversal Cable & New Media Distribution to secure digital content licensing for shows and SVOD deals for films. The expanded remit also sees him continuing to license both TV and film content to fully-distributed and emerging cable networks. Whiting had been serving as the VP of NBCUniversal Cable & New Media Distribution since September 2008. Prior to that he was the director of cable and ancillary sales for the NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution division.

"Todd is a unique talent who combines significant deal making expertise, tremendous people skills and innate leadership qualities,” said Manfredi. “He is an important member of the Cable and New Media sales team and I am thrilled to have him on board."
