ABC Deemed “Highest Rated Media Brand” for 2011

NEW YORK: The ABC Television Network has been selected as the "Highest Rated Media Company" in the 2011 Advertiser Perceptions’ Intelligence Report.

From a pool of 25 media companies and more than 500 media brands, ABC took the top honor. The network also ranked number one in the Brand Strength and Sales Knowledge categories in the broadcast television segment. For cable television, from a pool of 75-plus cable networks measured, ESPN won for Brand Strength, HGTV for Sales Knowledge, Food Network for Customer Service and Comedy Central for Advertiser Satisfaction. In digital, Facebook won for Brand Strength.

The Brand Strength metric was assessed based on the combination of audience composition, reach, image and advertising results. For Sales Knowledge, the recognition was based on the following attributes: "understands advertiser products and brands;" "knows the assets of their media property" and "knows the advertiser’s market and competition."
