CULVER CITY: 3net’s newly formed production arm, 3net Studios, has unveiled its initial slate of original 3D and 4K series and specials, which includes animated and live-action projects.

Projects include Space, produced in what the company calls TotalD, which means native 3D 4K, 2D 4K, 3D 2K and both 3D/2D HD formats. Each hour-long episode of this three-part series will look at the evolution of our universe.

Marksmen is a 3D stop-motion graphic novel series set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The half-hour four-part series follows Drake McCoy and his band of high-tech soldiers, known as the Marksmen, on their quest to protect the technological utopia of New San Diego.

Frozen in Time: Our History in 3D is a 3×1-hour original series that showcases some of history’s biggest milestones. This includes events such as World War II, the Industrial Revolution and the migration to the American West.

The live-action special Wingsuit Warrior: Jeb Corliss vs. the World features the story of the eponymous base jumper and wingsuit pioneer. Corliss had tragically crashed in a wingsuit in early 2012, and the special will follow him through the process of rehabilitation and re-learning the skills of wingsuit flying.

Next up is the travelogue series Daydream. Each episode takes viewers to a unique and iconic destination through a 3D travel adventure.

“Today’s announcement marks an important first step in our ongoing mission to meet the increasing global demand for high-quality, original 3D and 4K television content head on,” said Tom Cosgrove, the president and CEO of 3net. “We’re proud of the diverse initial slate of live-action and animated series we have created and look forward to expanding it as 3net Studios finalizes its full 2013 development schedule.”
