3net Joins Comcast’s Xfinity TV

CULVER CITY: 3net is going to begin offering its original 3D content to Xfinity TV customers through a deal with Comcast that kicks off January 28.

Xfinity TV customers who are eligible to receive 3D services gain access to three hours of programming at least five days per week, including original 3D series and specials. Select 3net programs will also be available on Xfinity On Demand in the near future. Among the programs available to Xfinity TV customers will be Storm Surfers, an original series following surfing legends; NASCAR: The IMAX Experience, bringing racing excitement to viewers; and the special A Year in Africa, exploring the wilds of the African continent.

"With 3D televisions already in nearly 25 million U.S. households—and industry predictions of dramatic in-home 3D growth in 2013—today’s announcement further solidifies our ongoing commitment to meeting the ever-growing consumer appetite for high-quality, original 3D television content," said Tom Cosgrove, the president and CEO of 3net. "We’re proud to make this special 3net programming sampler available to Xfinity 3D customers nationwide, and we look forward to working with Comcast to grow the in-home 3D market by exposing their audience to the very best in 3net content."
