ZDF Enterprises to Distribute NHNZ’s Big Pacific

MAINZ: ZDF Enterprises has acquired global distribution rights for NHNZ’s blue-chip documentary project Big Pacific.

The 5×1-hour 4K series examines the creatures and mysteries of the Pacific Ocean. The world’s top cinematographers and researchers capture on camera the Pacific’s most-guarded secrets. The documentary series is co-produced by NHNZ, PBS and CCTV9. ZDF, ZDF Enterprises, Discovery International, Channel Nine and ARTE are also participating on the series. Big Pacific becomes available in May 2017.

NHNZ’s managing director, Kyle Murdoch, said, “Not only is it our most ambitious project to date, it is also a region close to our hearts—the Pacific is our backyard, and everyone involved with the production has a connection with this body of water. Our shooters were in their element and have managed to capture unique behavior, and we are looking forward to delivering a truly spectacular series at the beginning of next year.”
