TVF International Sells Titles into France, Germany

Indie factual distributor TVF International has sent a raft of new titles to France and Germany ahead of Sunny Side of the Doc.

RTL acquired a raft of history content, including the doc Prosecuting Evil, while A+E Networks Germany took the BBC’s long-running archaeology program Digging for Britain and the aviation series Wings of the Great War for The HISTORY Channel.

In Germany, TVF brokered a deal with ZDFinfo for China’s Dragon Emperor from Smithsonian and EBS. For the same strand, the pubcaster also acquired the series Infinity, which investigates some of science’s unanswered questions.

Elsewhere in Germany, Deutsche Welle acquired three investigative specials from Mediacorp: Lombok’s Poisoned Gold, Inside the Exotic Butterfly Trade and From North Korea with Love.

TVF also sent three history titles to Histoire TV in France, including Jesus’ Female Disciples: The New Evidence, The Asian Century and Fake News: A True Story.

Also in France, Mediawan acquired the aviation mystery doc MH370: A Decade On and the science and technology title AI & You. Mediawan also took two wildlife titles, Bear: Koala Hero and Saving the Wild.

France TV picked up a package of From Above travelogues. These include Portugal From Above, Japanese Islands From Above, Oman From Above and Finland From Above.

In arts, Museum TV acquired Jack B. Yeats: The Man Who Painted Ireland, while the French-language Swiss pubcaster RTS acquired Basquiat: Rage to Riches. RTS also picked up the investigative documentary Make Me Pretty: Illegal Home Surgery.
