A second season of Hello Sunshine and TOGETHXR’s Surf Girls, titled Surf Girls: International, has been ordered for Prime Video.

“We’re excited to be continuing our partnership with Prime Video and TOGETHXR on Surf Girls: International,” said Sara Rea, head of unscripted for Hello Sunshine. “Surf Girls was the beginning of something special—when we launched season one, we couldn’t have predicted just how much women’s sports would explode over the next three years. Now, with season two, we’re expanding the Surf Girls world: the waves are bigger, the stakes are higher, and the stories continue to inspire.”

She continued, “Watching Ewe, the youngest from season one, take on the world is a powerful reminder of what’s possible. And with the addition of new international surfers, we’re thrilled to expand our global footprint and celebrate the next generation of talent on a worldwide stage.”

“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Prime Video and Hello Sunshine on Surf Girls: International,” added Jessica Robertson, TOGETHXR’s co-founder and chief content officer. “This season takes the storytelling to new heights as we follow these phenomenal athletes pushing boundaries, breaking barriers, and redefining what it means to compete on the world stage. We can’t wait for audiences to be inspired all over again.”

Surf Girls: International will follow five up-and-coming female surfers representing their home countries as they travel the world competing the Challenger Series. This new season will feature the stories of both new and returning athletes, including Ewe Wong of Hawaii; Sophia Medina of Brazil; Kika Veselko of Portugal; Jessie Van Niekrek of South Africa; and 2024 Olympian Sol Aguirre of Peru. In order to achieve their dreams of earning a coveted spot on the World Surf Tour, they must develop further as surfers, overcome their own personal struggles and deal with the struggles of the international spotlight.

Surf Girls: International is executive produced by Reese Witherspoon, Rea, Sue Kinkead and Tyler O’Neil of Hello Sunshine; Robertson, Tina Tozzi and Brett Bouttier of TOGETHXR; Ryan Crosby and Jed Pearson IV of World Surf League (WSL); Monica Medellin; and Leslie Garvin, who will also serve as showrunner.
