Prime Video has renewed its docuseries Shiny Happy People, with the second season to be titled Shiny Happy People: A Teenage Holy War.

The new season will delve into the Evangelical teen pop culture that exploded across the U.S. in the ’90s and 2000s with Teen Mania, once America’s largest youth ministry, and will examine the larger forces that are focused on harnessing their faith for far-reaching influence. It will bow on July 23.

The second season comes from executive producers Blye Faust and Cori Shepherd, the team behind Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets, which was the number one most-viewed docuseries on Prime Video.

Shiny Happy People: A Teenage Holy War is directed by Nicole Newnham and Shepherd. It is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Story Force Entertainment and Chick Entertainment.
