Sunny Side of the Doc Reveals 2020 Pitch Selection

Sunny Side of the Doc and PiXii Festival Connected Edition, which takes place in five weeks, has unveiled this year’s pitch selection.

Selections for the international marketplace and pitching forum include 42 concepts for documentary and nonfiction media from 17 countries. The event will feature six thematic pitching sessions supported by PBS International (history), Knowledge Network (science), RTBF (social issues), West Lake International Documentary Festival (arts and culture), Love Nature (wildlife) and INA (digital experiences). They will showcase the best in original factual projects in their phase of development or production in front of commissioners and buyers from across the world. Further, pitch mentoring and tailored one-on-one meetings will be arranged.

Sunny Side of the Doc and PiXii Festival Connected Edition will be held from June 22 to 25. Among those in attendance will be Mark Edwards (ARTE, France); Julia Cort (PBS/NOVA, U.S.); Barbara Biemann (NRD/ARD, Germany); Proinsias Ní Ghráinne (TG4, Ireland); Giammaria Duilio (RAI, Italy); Fredrik Farden (NRK, Norway); Montse Armengou Martín (TV3, Spain); Gaspard Lamunière (RTS, Switzerland); Kate Townsend (Netflix, U.K.); Susie Jones (SBS, Australia); Caroline Haidacher (ORF, Austria); Lejla Dedic (Al Jazeera Balkans, Bosnia and Herzegovina); Fernanda Tamara (Canal Curta!, Brazil); Naomi Boxer (TVO, Canada); Marketa Stinglova (Czech Television); and Ida Høyer Bom (DR, Denmark).
