The Sky-owned free-to-air channel Pick has commissioned Woodcut Media to produce the factual-entertainment series Paranormal Caught on Camera.

Paranormal Caught on Camera follows industry experts as they attempt to capture evidence of supernatural activity on camera and document proof of its existence through investigations in supposedly haunted locations. In addition to a panel of scientists, believers and skeptics who will analyze the findings, the six-part series will feature contributions from people who claim to have interacted with the afterlife.

DRG has pre-invested in Paranormal Caught on Camera, which is slated to premiere on Pick in May. DRG also will act as worldwide distributors for the series executive produced by Marvyn Benoit (Sky) and Matthew Gordon (Woodcut Media).

Benoit, commissioning editor for Sky Entertainment and Arts, said: “We are excited to be returning to the world of paranormal activity. Woodcut takes great pride in the shows they make, and Pick has a strong history of showing programs that deal with the unexplained. We are looking forward to launching this show later this year.”

Gordon added: “Exploration of all things paranormal never ceases to wane. In this series, we have taken a serious investigative approach and uncovered some truly exciting and inexplicable images, as well as footage caught on camera that we know will intrigue viewers the world over!”

Mette Kanne-Behrendsen, DRG’s senior VP of acquisitions, commented: “DRG is delighted to develop its relationship with Woodcut Media and Pick with this fascinating series, and is excited to be planning an official international launch at MIPTV this spring.”
