Serengeti, Wild Metropolis Score Global Presales

BBC Studios has signed up a raft of global presales on Serengeti, created by Simon Fuller, and Wild Metropolis, from the BBC Studios Natural History Unit.

The six-part natural-history series Serengeti has been licensed to Discovery Channel in the U.S. and Latin America, ZDF in Germany, SVT in Sweden, NRK in Norway, Telefonica’s Movistar+ in Spain, WOWOW in Japan, Ceska Televize in the Czech Republic, SRF in Switzerland, ETV in Estonia and LVT in Latvia. The project is produced by XIX Entertainment and John Downer Productions for the BBC and BBC Studios.

Wild Metropolis, a three-part series by BBC Studios Natural History Unit and co-produced with PBS and Tencent Penguin Pictures, has sold to ARTE for France and Germany, VRT in Belgium, NPO in the Netherlands, MTVA in Hungary, Manoto in Iran and TRT in Turkey.

Both series have been licensed to Channel 9 in Australia and KAN in Israel. They are set to air on BBC Earth in South Africa, Central and Eastern Europe, the Nordics, the Middle East and Poland, as well as on BBC Player in Singapore and Malaysia.
