Red Arrow Studios International has picked up the distribution rights to Framing Britney Spears, a new feature documentary about the pop star.

Directed by Samantha Stark, Framing Britney Spears re-examines her career and provides a look at movement against her court-mandated conservatorship while also shining a light on the unsavory dimensions of the American pop-star machine. The documentary, produced by The New York Times and the Red Arrow Studios company Left/Right, is set to premiere on FX and Hulu in the U.S. on February 5.

Tim Gerhartz, senior VP of global sales at Red Arrow Studios International, said: “This fascinating new documentary feature promises to be a comprehensive look at all sides of Britney Spears’ experience of stratospheric fame throughout her life. This documentary has already generated a huge amount of interest globally and is shaping up to be a landmark event television moment in 2021.”
