Prime Video Sets Doc on Manchester United 1999 Team

Prime Video has lined up 99, a docuseries about Manchester United’s treble-winning season in 1999 in which the team won the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League across ten days.

Featuring exclusive interviews from key characters in the story, including David Beckham, Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Peter Schmeichel and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and never-before-seen archive footage, 99 will give viewers a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the historic team.

The series is co-produced by the teams at Ventureland, Studio 99 (founded by Beckham) and Buzz16 (founded by Neville). Ventureland’s John Battsek and Miles Coleman will produce the series. Executive producers are Nicola Howson and David Gardner for Studio 99, Scott Melvin for Buzz 16 and Kerstin Emhoff for Ventureland. Sampson Collins, the RTS-winning director of Gazza, is directing the series.

99 will launch on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories worldwide in 2024.
