OUTtv Expands Reach in New Zealand & Greenlights New Series

OUTtv has expanded its reach in New Zealand by launching on Prime Video as an add-on subscription and co-commissioning Winner Winner Chicken Dinner with TVNZ.

The new game show, hosted by New Zealand drag queens Kita Mean and Anita Wigl’it, sees three unsuspecting members of the general public invited into the queens’ living room to go up against each other in a range of chicken-themed games. At the end of each episode, the Loser Loser Chicken Snoozer is banished to the coop while the other two competitors share a winner’s chicken dinner together.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner is being produced by Warner Bros. International Television Production New Zealand.

“We have a growing audience in New Zealand, and it’s exciting to have both a new place for them to find our incredible, queer content—but also for us to double down on our commitment to the territory with a new commission,” said Philip Webb, COO of OUTtv. “Kita and Anita are a dream duo, and Winner Winner Chicken Dinner promises camp excellence we know our viewers the world over are going to love.”

Anita Wigl’it commented, “I am beyond excited for Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! It’s almost like for millions of years planet Earth has been heading to a chicken-themed reality TV show, hosted by drag queens with no clear winner. This is a monumental moment not only for television but for humankind as a species!”

Kita Mean added, “If you’re looking for some cutting edge, nonstop drag drama with gripping storylines and jaw-dropping twists and turns, boy, are you in the wrong place. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner is the perfect storm of two chaotic best friends throwing chickens at strangers for nothing but fame and… glory? Get ready for a daft laugh and a good old noggin scratch. Bokurrrrr!”
