Thirty years on from the fateful Oklahoma City Bombing that killed more than 160 people, including 19 children, National Geographic is honoring the lives lost and those left behind with the three-part docuseries Oklahoma City Bombing: One Day in America.
Using rare archival footage and firsthand testimony from survivors and first responders, as well as former Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating and former U.S. President Bill Clinton, the series immerses viewers in the aftermath of the deadly attack, which is still the deadliest act of homegrown terrorism in U.S. history.
Ceri Isfryn, director of the series, talks to TV Real Weekly about sourcing the rare archival footage, getting contributors on board and what she hopes viewers take away from watching.
