LONDON: NBCUniversal International has rolled out its reality SVOD service hayu for Foxtel customers in Australia.

The service will be available to subscribers of the pay-TV platform who have the Entertainment Plus package, which includes the NBCUniversal channel E! Entertainment Television. The agreement is part of a long-term output deal between Foxtel and NBCUniversal. It will allow viewers access to a growing collection of more than 3,000 episodes of popular reality franchises, including Keeping Up with the Kardashians, The Real Housewives (U.S. versions), Million Dollar Listing and Top Chef, along with series such as I Am Cait, The Millionaire Matchmaker, Made In Chelsea and Shahs of Sunset.

The SVOD service launched in the U.K. and Australia earlier this year.

Hendrik McDermott, the senior VP of branded on-demand for NBCUniversal International, said: “Having only just launched in Australia in March, we are delighted to now make hayu directly available to Foxtel subscribers. Through this collaboration with our long-term platform partner in this market, we are one step closer to our goal of enabling the widest possible audience of reality fans to access this immersive SVOD service on the broad range of devices they use daily.”

Brian Walsh, the executive director of television at Foxtel said: “Foxtel has an incredible collection of hit reality shows across our channels Arena, E!, Style and Lifestyle YOU. Foxtel and NBCUniversal have a long-standing relationship that has enjoyed incredible success in bringing high-quality, unscripted programming to subscribers hungry for entertainment and the availability of hayu to our subscribers at no extra cost is another great value-add to a Foxtel subscription.”
