Fatboy Slim: Right Here Right Now, a feature taking viewers back to 2002 and the U.K.’s biggest beach party, is set to make its debut on May 6 on Fox Docos and Foxtel in Australia.

The 90-minute special explores the last huge event of the underground rave movement of the late ’90s and early 2000s before it became mainstream. The film captures The Big Beach Boutique II of 2002, in which 40,000 ravers were expected to turn up for Fatboy Slim’s set in Brighton but over 250,000 showed up.

The documentary is produced by Beyond TNC and BMG Films, with Banijay Rights handling international distribution. Its release coincides with Fatboy Slim’s Y’all Are the Music, We’re Just the DJs tour in Australia.

“It has been wonderful with the fullness of time and some hindsight to revisit such a seismic event in both mine and my hometown’s history,” Fatboy Slim said. “Warts and all, the story told in full… watch, sleep, rave, repeat.”
