National Geographic Partners Australia has appointed Elie Mansour as director of consumer products and licensing for Australia.

In his newly created role, Mansour will foster partnerships to build Nat Geo’s retail and licensing business across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). He will collaborate with Iggy Yip, Nat Geo Partners’ director of licensing for the Asia Pacific and Middle East.

Mansour most recently served as licensing director at WME-IMG. Earlier in his career, he was head of consumer products for BBC Australia. He has also worked at Disney, where he gained experience in Asia and the Middle East.

Mansour commented: “I’m excited and privileged to be joining such a prestigious and beloved brand that generations have grown up with. I look forward to working with an exceptional team to grow new and the already growing consumer licensing partnerships, to positioning National Geographic as the premium outdoor and lifestyle brand in Australia.”

Jacqui Feeney, the managing director for ANZ, added: “Elie is a richly entrepreneurial executive who will bring great energy to National Geographic’s ambitions across consumer product licensing and partnerships. National Geographic empowers and enriches the explorer in all of us. Elie has a remit to deliver authentic products and experiences that will help support science, conservation and ultimately more exploration.”
