Nat Geo Sets Defending Europe Premiere

The brand-new six-part series Defending Europe is set to bow on National Geographic on September 17.

Produced by Atomic Television, the title explores the strategies, weapons and structures used by different European countries to defend and protect their territories over 1,000 years of history. Each episode of Defending Europe focuses on a different country.

The series will visit Great Britain, France, Spain, Finland, Poland and the Netherlands. A recurring cast of top experts and local specialists will explore the engineering and scale of the region’s defensive fortifications, weapons and strategies developed over time.
