MultiStory Media Taps Emma Gormley as MD

MultiStory Media has tapped Emma Gormley as its new managing director in a move that unites the company with ITV Studios Daytime as one label.

Gormley, who has served as managing director of daytime at ITV Studios for the last 12 years, will build on the companies’ combined reputation for current affairs, topical and live programming, premium documentaries and factual entertainment. The combined label will remain under the name MultiStory Media.

In January 2026, MultiStory Media will become the home of live shows such as Lorraine; This Morning; Loose Women and its podcast, Loose Women: Just Between Us; The Martin Lewis Money Show; and Peston, as well as factual-entertainment series like Come Dine With Me; For The Love of Dogs; and Pride of Britain Awards. It will also be the home of documentaries such as Brianna: A Mother’s Story and Madeleine McCann: Searching for the Prime Suspect.

This move follows after Signpost Entertainment was moved within MultiStory Media a week ago.

“Emma is an exceptional leader with entrepreneurial journalism pulsing through her veins,” said Tim Carter, managing director of unscripted for the U.K. at ITV Studios. “Bringing all these brilliant current shows together under her direction in one center of excellence is a no-brainer. It positions MultiStory as the market leader in the U.K. for popular current affairs and daytime.”

Gormley commented, “MultiStory Media and ITV Daytime already share a huge amount of creative DNA and award-winning programs, from live television, features and journalism to popular factual and entertainment. I look forward to bringing hundreds of hours of high-quality television together under one roof to create a powerful, future-facing content business.”

The new label will operate from bases in London, Manchester and Gateshead.
