MIPDoc Moves into the Palais

Reed MIDEM has revealed that MIPDoc 2020 will move into the Palais des Festivals, due to unforeseen renovation work in the ballroom at the Martinez Hotel.

MIPDoc plans to use the venue space on Level 3 and Level 4 (Salon Les Ambassadeurs) of the Palais. The move brings MIPDoc into the same venue as MIPFormats. It also offers proximity for those attending the MIPDoc Networking Lunch venue at the Majestic Hotel.

Lucy Smith, deputy television division director, commented: “The Palais des Festivals is our home for MIPTV and MIPFormats with all the facilities we need, so we have been able to quickly manage this unexpected transition from the hotel with minimal challenges while creating a new experience for MIPDoc participants. The venue move actually accelerates the goal we had for 2021, which was to move MIPDoc into the Palais bringing the unscripted community under one roof, as part of the transformation of MIPTV.”

MIPDoc will take place from March 28 to 29,  2020.
