Media RED Pacts with SPT

LOS ANGELES: Media RED, the venture founded by former One Three Media exec Tom Leach, has clinched a deal with Sony Pictures Television (SPT) for the development and production of nonscripted formats and series.

Media RED has development deals with FYI, Pivot, Funny or Die and Red Bull TV. Today it announced a nonscripted first-look deal with Sony Pictures Television to develop and produce large-scale global TV formats and series.

Leach was formerly VP of development and current programming at Mark Burnett's One Three Media, where he developed Space Race (NBC) and produced Trust Me I'm a Game Show Host (TBS).

“Sony Pictures Television is the industry’s largest independent television studio and this deal will allow me to dream big and work on packaging series with some of the best and brightest talent and brands around the world,” said Leach.
