Magical Elves has promoted Ron Mare to the role of senior VP of casting.

In his new position, the former VP will lead the casting department and oversee casting for all series across the production company. Since joining Magical Elves in 2017, Mare has worked alongside Samantha Hanks, executive VP of casting and talent relations, to cast judges and contestants for such programs as Top Chef and Nailed It!

Magical Elves Co-CEOs Casey Kriley and Jo Sharon said: “Ron’s passion for storytelling and his keen eye for casting aligns with our vision to produce aspirational, first-to-market content that inspires and uplifts our audiences. With this expansion of Ron’s purview, all of our current and upcoming series will no doubt benefit from his dedication to telling important stories that reflect the diversity and magic of the world around us while helping create a fun and engaging experience.”

Mare added: “It’s an exciting step for me to continue moving up in this impressive team and work with an undeniable roster of Magical Elves’ top-tier unscripted programming. In all of our series, my vision is for anyone to be able to turn on a Magical Elves-produced series and see people and stories they can relate with. I’m so thankful to be part of a company that aligns with these priorities and allows myself and the team the freedom to do so.”
