Wales-based indie Wildflame Productions has formed a strategic partnership with Celebro to fuel the company’s push into the U.S.

Wildflame and Celebro will share production facilities, giving both an operational production base in the U.S. and Wales. They will also share staff, with the potential to co-fund new posts as shared projects arise.

Celebro has studios located in Washington, D.C., New York, London and Los Angeles, providing facilities for broadcasters such as BBC News, Fox News, CNN, Channel 4, France 24 and Al Jazeera.

From its base in Cardiff, Wildflame has already secured a range of commissions for discovery+, Smithsonian Channel and Science Channel. This new partnership will allow the company to develop and deliver more programs to the U.S. and international markets.

Paul Islwyn Thomas, CEO of Wildflame Productions, said: “With our international success so far, we know that Wildflame has the opportunity to really accelerate our growth in this area. Our partnership with Celebro will enable us to get so much closer to the broadcasters and audiences we are serving and give us market-specific knowledge and expertise. This partnership will also, in turn, fuel the development of our team in Cardiff, which plays an integral part in the delivery of our international commissions. We are thrilled to be collaborating with Celebro.”

Llinos Griffin-Williams, creative director of Wildflame Productions, added: “We have been looking for the right partner for some time and, for us, Celebro stands head and shoulders above the rest. Their wealth of experience across both creative and facilities gives them a 360-degree understanding of broadcasters’ needs and a creative mindset informed by technology and innovation. It’s a very powerful combination. We are incredibly excited about our partnership and what it can bring for both Wildflame and Celebro.”

Wesley Dodd, chief executive at Celebro, said: “Wildflame brings an impressive, creative ambition and the right approach to make high-profile international commissions. They have an outstanding development slate and a clear understanding of what they bring to the international marketplace and American broadcasters in particular. Their determination and creative flair make them an extremely exciting partner for us and we cannot wait to get started.”
