Studio Lambert has promoted Jack Burgess to senior VP of development and current, with the exec transitioning from London to Los Angeles.

In his new post, Burgess will lead the company’s U.S. unscripted development strategy, working under Greg Goldman, the president of Studio Lambert in America. He will also continue reporting to U.K. unscripted chief Tim Harcourt, who serves as creative director.

Burgess was first hired by Studio Lambert in 2014 as head of U.K. unscripted development. Before joining the company, he worked across unscripted development for NBCU International in London.

Meanwhile, Niall O’Driscoll, a senior member of the London development team, has been elevated to head of U.K. unscripted development to fill Burgess’s position in the U.K.

“Jack has been extremely successful running our U.K. unscripted development team over the last few years,” said Studio Lambert CEO Stephen Lambert. “I’m confident in his new L.A.-based role he will be equally successful, by building on his knowledge of both markets and ensuring our unscripted development effort on both sides of the Atlantic are working closely together to create hits.

“We are launching some very ambitious new unscripted formats in the U.K. this year, and having Jack in L.A. to work with Greg and Tim on transferring them to the U.S. market will be very helpful.”
