HISTORY Special Spotlights New Amelia Earhart Evidence

This weekend, HISTORY is due to debut Amelia Earhart: The Lost Evidence, a two-hour special focused on the newly uncovered evidence regarding the famed aviator’s disappearance.

Amelia Earhart: The Lost Evidence details the recently discovered evidence from within the U.S. government’s archives that suggests that Earhart actually survived her final flight with navigator Fred Noonan in 1937, crash-landed in the Marshall Islands, was captured by the Japanese military and died in their custody on Saipan. The special will explore the never-before-seen photograph presumed to be Earhart and Noonan, and how the U.S. government may have covered it up. It is slated for broadcast on Sunday, July 9, at 9 p.m.

Amelia Earhart: The Lost Evidence was produced by Morningstar Entertainment for HISTORY. Gary Tarpinian and Paninee Theeranuntawat served as executive producers for Morningstar, with Gary Benthin as co-executive producer. Jim Pasquarella was an executive producer for HISTORY.
