HBO Max Slates Beanie Babies Documentary

HBO Max has set the premiere for its new original feature documentary Beanie Mania, covering the ’90s Beanie Babies craze, for December 23.

The film examines how the stuffed toys created by Ty Warner spawned an unprecedented investment bubble and a frenzy of greed through interviews with passionate collectors, notable influencers and company insiders.

Angie Day, Sunshine Jackson, Matt Robins, Gillian Pachter and Tom Fulford serve as executive producers. Yemisi Brookes directs.
