GRB Studios Hires Discovery Studios Alum

GRB Studios has appointed former Discovery Studios executive Pamela Welch to the role of senior VP of development.

Welch will report to Gary R. Benz. She will be responsible for creating and developing original content for the company. While at Discovery Studios, Welch developed and produced content for shows including Sweet Home Sextuplets (TLC), Disney Animal Kingdom: Alive With Magic (Animal Planet), Texas Trocas (Discovery En Espanol) and Jersey On Ice (TLC). She also worked with the development team for Mama Medium (TLC), Extreme Drug Smuggling (Discovery), True Nightmares (ID), Extreme Dream Wedding (TLC) and Blackboard Wars (OWN).

Benz said Welch is “a highly skilled development executive with a successful track record of getting shows on the air. We look forward to creating more compelling programming with her.”
