GRB Presenting Nelson Serrano: I’m Innocent Doc at NATPE

MIAMI: GRB Entertainment is launching sales for the crime documentary Nelson Serrano: I’m Innocent at NATPE.

The documentary tells the story of Nelson Serrano, an immigrant businessman who was kidnapped from his home country of Ecuador by a Florida state attorney violating his human rights, convicted of murdering four people in Florida without any evidence. Even though video evidence shows he was 400 miles away, he was sentenced to death by lethal injection. The film follows the 77-year-old, who is currently on death row, as well as his family and his lawyers as they seek to have DNA evidence and eye-witness testimony (previously hidden by the prosecution) prove his innocence and get him off of death row for a murder they believe he did not commit.

Mike Lolato, the senior VP of international distribution at GRB Entertainment, said: “GRB Entertainment is known for its top quality, provocative programming and we are thrilled to premiere the doc Nelson Serrano: I’m Innocent at NATPE for distribution. Following the success of factual justice programming like The Jinx and Making a Murderer, we look forward to presenting Nelson Serrano: I’m Innocent, along with our catalogue of over 2,000 hours, at the market.”
