Shark Teeth Films’ upcoming factual engineering franchise Building Bad has been presold to Canada’s Bell Media, while Cineflix Rights has acquired the worldwide distribution rights.

The 10×60-minute series, which is currently in production, examines what happens when brilliant scientists, inventors and engineers turn to the dark side. Delivery is expected for fall 2024.

Adrian Carter and Tom Mudd, founders and executive producers of Shark Teeth Films, said, “We are excited to showcase the ingenious engineering of the world’s most dangerous criminals. Building Bad is a docuseries that combines elements of science and engineering to highlight the lengths criminal masterminds will go for money and power.”

“The Shark Teeth team has a great track record of producing high quality content appealing to a wide demographic,” said Felicia Litovitz, VP of acquisitions for North America at Cineflix Rights. “We’ve already had great success with their previous series Mysterious Islands, so we’re thrilled to be building on our partnership with them to turn another Canadian show into an international hit.”
