LONDON: Hat Trick International has inked a range of new deals for Keo Films’s three-part documentary Hugh’s War on Waste, which is headed to Foxtel in Australia, DR Byen in Denmark and TVB in Hong Kong, among other broadcasters.

The 3×1-hour doc follows TV presenter and environmental campaigner Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall as he tackles the subject of garbage and waste. The program originally aired on BBC One in the U.K. and has now been sold by Hat Trick to AMC Networks (Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia), 365 Media (Iceland), Planete+ and Kuchnia+ (Poland) and Choice TV (New Zealand). The third installment in the project is being presented at MIPTV.

Also launching at MIPTV is Keo Films’s Journey to the Centre of Your Plate, a new 6×30-minute series for Channel 4.

Sarah Tong, the director of sales at Hat Trick International, commented, “Keo Films continues to deliver a wealth of thought-provoking and intelligent factual series that resonate very well with international broadcasters. Hugh’s War on Waste is a fascinating and engaging investigation into the globally relevant subject of how much rubbish we produce, offering viewers valuable tips on reducing their own waste. We’re excited to show the third and final episode to our broadcasters at MIPTV, alongside Keo’s brand-new series, Journey to the Centre of Your Plate, which, again, sheds new light on how our tastes and habits impact the wider community and environment.”
