NEW YORK: Scripps Networks Interactive has commissioned its first pan-regional original series for Latin America, Destino Con Sabor, which will air on Food Network across the region.

The 16×30-minute series is due out in spring. It features Venezuelan chef Grace Ramirez as she meets with local chefs, farmers and residents in the region. She will taste family recipes, try food from the artisanal pop-ups, as well as sample the latest modern gastronomy trends. The series was filmed in key locations across Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru.

“We are focused on growing our slate of original productions in Latin America, creating local content that resonates with the regional audience,” said Adriana Alcantara, Scripps‘s VP of marketing and production in Latin America. “Destino Con Sabor fulfills this strategy—celebrating the culture and authentic cuisine of Latin America, while also providing new cooking techniques and original recipes.”
