NEW YORK: Next month, Food Network is slated to begin airing Kids BBQ Championship, a new prime-time program hosted by Camila Alves and Eddie Jackson.

Kids BBQ Championship will look on as eight of the country’s best young barbecue chefs—ages 10 to 13—compete to see who is the ultimate grill master. Special guest Tim Love judges the final plates, with the winner receiving $20,000 and being featured in Food Network Magazine. The six-episode show will debut on Monday, May 23, at 8 p.m. It is produced by Lucky 8 TV.

“The competitors may be under the age of 13, but their BBQ skills are over the top,” said Didi O’Hearn, the senior VP of programming at Food Network. “Camila and Eddie are the perfect duo to lead the culinary action in this fun, fiery and family-friendly addition to the prime-time lineup.”
