Gusto Worldwide Media has sold five cooking and food series to the Russian pay-TV broadcaster Red Media.
The package includes 83 half-hour episodes that will air on Red Media’s Kitchen TV and over 200 short-form videos. The agreement includes Watts on the Grill, led by Spencer Watts; Fresh Market Dinners, a travel-based cooking series that takes viewers from market to plate; and Fish the Dish, featuring easy-to-make fish dishes. Also featured in the package are The Urban Vegetarian, with host Desiree Nielsen, and Bonacini’s Italy, with celebrity chef Michael Bonacini.
“Gusto is going global—Australia…Philippines…and now Russia!” said Corey Caplan, senior director of international sales at Gusto Worldwide Media. “More buyers are looking for short-form food content and it’s reflected in this sale.”
