The tvN Asia original production Wok the World: Unearthed Rice Story has begun shooting in China.

In this three-part culinary documentary, Michelin-starred chef Alvin Leung delves into the history, tradition and technology of the cultivation of rice and its inspiration for gastronomic creations. Leung and his apprentice Eric Chong, a MasterChef Canada winner, travel to seven cities in China, as well as Bangkok, Sarawak and Dubai, to discover the stories behind the tiny grain of rice, bringing cultures together and meeting several memorable characters along the way.

CJ ENM HK and the China Intercontinental Communication Center (CICC) co-create this original IP in China, targeting a worldwide audience. The docuseries will be broadcast internationally through tvN and HOOQ in Asia, CTV in Canada, as well as on other platforms around the globe.
