Escapade Media Picks Up A Season with Isabella Rossellini

Escapade Media has secured the distribution rights to Groupe Elephant’s 55-minute documentary A Season with Isabella Rossellini.

“This beautiful film provides a very intimate portrait of one of the most iconic stars of today,” said Natalie Lawley, managing director of Escapade. “There is so much more to Isabella Rossellini. This is a candid and honest reveal of her colorful life.”

The documentary, directed and filmed by Marian Lacombe, who was editor-in-chief at the M6 TV channel for 20 years, sees Rossellini reflect on her life as a celebrated model, acclaimed actor and daughter of Ingrid Bergman and Roberto Rossellini. The film follows her onto the set of Alice Rohrwacher’s La Chimera in Italy, on stage in France and Spain with Darwin’s Smile, in Los Angeles as a style icon and on her no-kill farm on Long Island, where she raises rare sheep and goats and works to build an organic wool collective for young designers and sustainable clothing.

“It was very inspiring to follow Isabella at work and in her exceptional life,” Lacombe said. “She brings creativity, intelligence and humor to everything she does and cares for, as an actress and a farmer. She is an amazing storyteller, and her curiosity is contagious. The film is a meaningful journey—one that hopes to delight, inspire and entertain.”
