eOne Inks Deal with Alleycats Films

Entertainment One (eOne) and Northern Ireland-based Alleycats Films have signed an exclusive first-look distribution deal.

Ed Stobart, managing director and executive producer at Alleycats, said, “We’re passionate storytellers, and we want to reach the biggest possible audiences.” The initial projects included in the deal to be distributed internationally by eOne are the new BBC Three series The Fast and the Farmer-ish and The Big Proud Party Agency.

eOne previously partnered with Alleycats Films’ to distribute BBC Two’s Raiders of the Lost Past with Janina Ramirez (known internationally as Lost Worlds and Hidden Treasures).

Other projects produced by Alleycats Films’ are Tiananmen: The People v The Party for PBS/ARTE, How to Defuse a Bomb for BBC One/BBC Four and Helluva Tour for Channel 4.

Noel Hedges, executive VP of acquisitions at eOne, said, “As we continue to bolster our expansive slate of compelling content, this deeper partnership with Alleycats builds on our existing relationship with the company and further strengthens our strategy to partner with top creatives to provide high-end factual content to clients around the world.”
