Discovery, Inc. is set to launch discovery+ across app stores and other platforms in the Philippines in October.

At its full launch, discovery+ will have more than 18,000 episodes from Discovery’s brands, including more than 45 discovery+ original titles with more than 200 episodes of exclusive content available, including 90 Day Journey.

Filipinos will have access to shows with personalities such as Guy Fieri (Diners, Drive-ins and Dives), Drew and Jonathan Scott (Property Brothers), Martha Stewart (Bakeaway Camp with Martha Stewart), Dr. Sandra Lee (Dr. Pimple Popper) and Buddy Valastro (Cake Boss), among others.

Original shows available at launch include Say Yes to the Dress: In Sickness and In Health, Ghost Adventures: Top 10 and Buddy Vs Duff. 100-plus new original titles will drop on the service before the end of the year.

Additionally, Filipino viewers will have access to the true-crime channel Investigation Discovery for the first time, with shows like Evil Lives Here and Signs of a Psychopath. Award-winning natural history series from the BBC such as Planet Earth and Life will be available for viewing as well.

Though discovery+ won’t fully launch until October, Discovery partnered with Globe to offer its customers exclusive access to the web version of the streaming service as of September 2. In addition to early access, Globe’s customers can receive exclusive offers depending on their plan. For one, Globe Postpaid and Platinum GPlan customers can purchase a one-year subscription to discovery+ for just P99.

“The launch of discovery+ in the Philippines represents another step forward in the platform’s global expansion and further strengthens our direct-to-consumer proposition across Asia Pacific,” said Simon Robinson, president of AsiaPac for Discovery, Inc. “All Filipinos will soon be able to enjoy direct access to a world-class selection of real-life entertainment anytime, anywhere, and we couldn’t be more excited to partner with Globe at launch to give their customers early access and exclusive offers to this premium content.”

“In the past year and a half, we’ve seen tremendous change in how people consume content and keep themselves entertained,” said Ernest Cu, president and CEO of Globe. “Many are hungry for new things to watch and to create shared experiences with their family and friends. As Globe continues to help uplift the everyday lives of Filipinos and elevate their experiences at home, we are thrilled with this partnership, as it provides our customers a chance to enjoy a wide range of exciting and popular content.”
