CNN Unveils Explore Parts Unknown Digital Venture

CNN is launching Explore Parts Unknown, a mobile-first immersive guide featuring original stories and video, photography and interactive experiences based on its Emmy-winning series Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown.

Explore Parts Unknown will allow users to re-create Bourdain’s journeys and learn more about the people, places and stories that he’s come across. The digital venture is an editorial collaboration between CNN and Roads & Kingdoms, an independent journal on food, politics, travel and culture.

The site will include the digital features Exclusive Videos, Bourdain’s Field Notes, The Perfect Day, Hotel Bar Diaries, Recipes and Destination Fact Sheets. It will launch with such destinations as Hanoi, Rome, Las Vegas, Koreatown (L.A.), Manila, Buenos Aires, London, Punjab, Montana, The Greek Islands, Senegal, Madagascar, Istanbul, New Jersey, Colombia and South Korea. New destinations will be released weekly with original content.
