BossaNova Media has taken on the worldwide rights to the two-part crime documentary Bobby, Danny & Atlanta Tim: An American Serial Killer from U.K. indie Revolutionary Leader.

The doc tells the story of Steven Lorenzo and Scott Schweickert, who, over a 48-hour period in 2003, drugged, tortured and murdered two gay men, Jason Glenhouse and Michael Wachholtz, at Lorenzo’s home in Tampa, Florida. It gives a voice to the Tampa LGBTQ+ community and pays tribute to the mothers of Glenhouse and Wachholtz, who fought for justice for 20 years as they struggled to come to terms with their sons’ murders.

Claire Runham, head of acquisitions at BossaNova, said: “We’re honored that Revolutionary Leader has entrusted us with this incredible—and incredibly well told—crime doc, which we know will enthral audiences from around the world. We work tirelessly to unearth true-crime stories, particularly those that have redemptive justice at their core, and this documentary hits that mark. We are very excited to reveal Bobby, Danny & Atlanta Tim: An American Serial Killer to our global community of buyers.”

Additionally, The Flight Attendant Murders, a project born of BossaNova’s 2023 Development Day pitching event, has been acquired by ZDF in Germany and Bell Media in Canada. Earlier this year, it was picked up by Sundance Now in the U.S. and Foxtel Group and SBS in Australia.
