Boat Rocker Studios, a division of the global media company Boat Rocker Media, has closed a raft of deals for its new CTV cookery series Mary’s Kitchen Crush.

Produced by Proper Television, Mary’s Kitchen Crush features Masterchef Canada season three winner Mary Berg creating an edible love letter for someone who has made a meaningful impact on her life in each episode. The dishes include twists on home-cooked classics, with Berg providing tips and takeaways for viewers. Mary’s Kitchen Crush is produced by Proper Television, part of Boat Rocker Studios, in association with Bell Media.

Tastemade in the U.S. has acquired the first season of Mary’s Kitchen Crush, which is slated to bow on the streaming platform on October 9. Following its successful run on CTV earlier this year, the series sold into Australia through deals with Foxtel’s Lifestyle Food channel subscription service and the public broadcaster SBS. In addition to CTV, Mary’s Kitchen Crush is also available in Canada via the SVOD service Crave and on Bell Media’s Gusto channel.

Jay Holzer, executive producer and head of network for Tastemade, said: “We’re very excited to be bringing Mary’s Kitchen Crush to Tastemade’s streaming network. We think she brings a fresh and unique perspective to food storytelling that aligns with our wider television programming strategy. We know our growing TV audience will be enthusiastic about this new series.”

Jon Rutherford, managing director and president of rights for Boat Rocker Studios, said: “Since winning Masterchef, Mary’s career and popularity have skyrocketed. Mary’s Kitchen Crush is a huge prime-time hit and her first cookbook became a best seller in its first week of release. We are thrilled to be bringing Mary to Cannes; with her quirky, warm character and delicious, creative dishes, we think she has all the ingredients to become a globally renowned cookery personality. These first international TV sales show there is already a great appetite for her passionate and inspiring style, and we are sure she will gain many new fans in Cannes.”
