In a deal with Boat Rocker Studios, ad-supported streamer The Network is set to release the Anonymous Content documentary War Game this week.

The Network will air the film as an original on July 4. Directed by Jesse Moss and Tony Gerber, it sees a bipartisan group of U.S. defense, intelligence and elected policymakers engaging in an unscripted role-play exercise in which they confront a political coup, in the wake of a contested presidential election, backed by rogue members of the U.S. military.

“We’re excited that War Game is reaching new audiences through this recent partnership with The Network,” said Moss and Gerber. “This film offers an urgent, behind-the-scenes look at a plausible political crisis, and we hope it continues to inspire reflection and dialogue about the complexities of leadership in moments of peril.”

War Game reminds us that the United States is a delicate experiment, and no matter what your political affiliation, we must all work together to uphold our democracy,” added Aram Rappaport, CEO of The Network. “I couldn’t be more proud to premiere this heart-pounding documentary on our nation’s birthday.”
