Blue Ant Media has appointed Stephanie Atlas to the newly created position of VP of digital content and programming for nature and kids, effective immediately.

In the position, Atlas directs the creative vision for both Love Nature and ZooMoo’s social media presence, ensuring that users have a unified and comprehensive brand experience online. Atlas works out of Blue Ant’s Washington D.C. office and reports to Greg Kampanis, senior VP and general manager of digital at Blue Ant Media Global Networks, which includes Love Nature, ZooMoo and Omnia Media.

Working cross-functionally with Carlyn Staudt, executive VP of Love Nature programming and development, Atlas also oversees programming and launch strategies for Love Nature and ZooMoo’s SVOD and AVOD products, while leading digital strategies across YouTube, Facebook and Instagram to maximize engagement and drive subscriber growth.

Atlas has over 14 years of experience in creating and executing integrated digital and social media campaigns. Most recently she operated her own firm, Atlas & Co, in which she designed campaigns that included PassBlue, a Facebook Live campaign covering women in peacekeeping in Afghanistan, and the Biden Cancer Summit, a social media campaign around developing cancer solutions.

Atlas previously worked at National Geographic as senior director of culture and exploration, launching a digital brand featuring stories about the natural world, cultures and social change. Prior to that role, she held positions at National Geographic that included creating the editorial vision and branding for the company’s interactive daily magazine, Snapchat Discover, and launching Nat Geo Wild’s first digital nature series, Wild_life.

“Growing our social media presence is a priority and Stephanie’s extensive experience in leading digital campaigns is invaluable in creating seamless online strategies,” said Kampanis. “Her new dedicated role allows us to optimize our programming across multiple platforms, further reinforcing Love Nature and ZooMoo as truly platform agnostic brands.”
