Blue Ant Media has secured carriage for three of its FAST channels on My Free DIRECTV, which launched late last year.
The Love Nature channel features wildlife and nature programming. Highlights include Orangutan Jungle School, following the journey of orphaned orangutans at a forest school in Borneo, and Macaque Island, about three distinct tribes of long-tailed macaques living in Singapore’s hilltop forest.
Total Crime includes a slew of true-crime content, including the third season of Cause of Death, which takes audiences behind the scenes with a coroner and the autopsy process during a murder investigation; three seasons of Killer in My Family, in with the relatives of murderers revealing if there were any signs of murderous intentions before their loved ones committed heinous crimes; and Social Media Murders, a look at modern crime with cautionary insight into the role social media played in bringing together culprits and victim.
The Declassified channel is home to programming on everything from conspiracies and catastrophes to engineering and ancient civilizations. Highlights include Top Secrets UFO Projects: Declassified, which explores the plan to investigate UFO sightings during the Cold War; Super Tunnel, a look at the construction project to carve a 42-kilometer-long shaft underneath London while commuters and city landmarks remain undisturbed; and Spycraft, which takes viewers on missions to learn how spies ferret out sensitive intel about foreign countries with the help of high-tech tools.
“Partnering with DIRECTV is an exciting milestone for Love Nature, Total Crime and Declassified as it supports Blue Ant Media’s ongoing U.S. expansion in the free-streaming space,” said Carlyn Staudt, executive VP of global channels and streaming at Blue Ant Media. “Our new partnership with DIRECTV allows us to offer our curated, popular programming to DIRECTV’s engaged audiences.”
