A+E Networks International has inked a deal with De Vijver Media’s SBS Belgium to bring the first five seasons of Live PD: Police Patrol and seasons three and four of Nightwatch to the Benelux region.

A half-hour spin-off of Live PD, Live PD: Police Patrol brings viewers an unfiltered look at law enforcement officers in action across the U.S., with each episode highlighting the daily life-and-death situations faced by sheriff’s departments, highway patrols and local police departments. Nightwatch, from executive producer Dick Wolf and his Wolf Reality along with 44 Blue Productions, follows multiple sets of partners in the New Orleans Emergency Medical Services unit that cover the 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. shift as they battle time and circumstance to save lives.

SBS, which had previously found an audience for A+E’s TV movies and other scripted content, rarely picked up factual content prior to the current pact with A+E, which will help it build a strong lineup on its ZES channel for this spring.

Sarah Hussain, manager of international content sales for A+E Networks, said: “A+E International is thrilled that SBS will introduce a new audience to our unparalleled catalog of live, factual-programming. series like Live PD: Police Patrol and Nightwatch resonate with global audiences because their stories of everyday heroism are universal.”
